Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) is a therapy that is based on the principles of Behaviour Analysis. In IBI we focus on teaching your child the functional skills that they need in order to interact with the world. We work with you to set goals and individualize your child's programming based the their strengths and needs.
Challenging behaviours are not only unsafe and destructive to self and others, but can also impede learning, lead to social isolation and school exclusion/expulsion.
As Behaviour Analyst we believe that behaviours is communication, but it can be especially hard to see that when your child is engaging in aggressive, destructive or self-injurious behaviours.
Want to maintain your child's skills in all environments? Collaborating with your child's school on goals and strategies can increase their success and provide maintenance and generalization of valuable skills. At Spokes Autism Services we can help with bridging the gap between home and school by collaborating with its your child's school and coordinating goals.
You know your child the best. And while we love to work with your child, we know that your children does best when strategies are consistently implemented by all the people in their lives.
Our parent coaching model puts you in the driver's seat.
Is your child playing on the fringes of the playground at school? Plays by themselves to the exclusion of others? Does not reciprocate social interactions from others?
Functional and appropriate Social behaviours are extremely important in our day to day life. Children with Autism often miss read or ignore these essential social cues which lead them to be misunderstood by their peers or worse, isolated.
