Ramona Mathew,
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
Owner
Spokes Autism Services was started by me, Ramona Mathew in 2019. I have been working in the field of behaviour analysis since 2005. I started as an Instructor therapist on the front line, working with little ones with autism and I immediately fell in love with the field. I saw first-hand the difference early intervention and systematic intensive teaching could do for a child on the spectrum. My passion to do more for the kids and learn more, lead me to pursue my Masters in Applied Disability Studies with a focus on Applied Behaviour Analysis and then further become a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2014. It's been a long fun-filled, fruitful journey of learning. Over the years, I have worked as an Instructor Therapist, a Behaviour Consultant to school boards, group homes and community centres as well as a Senior Therapist where I developed and supervised behavioural programming. My varied roles with major Regional Providers has allowed me to work with individuals with autism at various stages of their lives and in various life situations. Thus, granting me a well rounded perspective into the day-to-day life of people with autism and their families .
In addition, I have been a part-time Professor at McMaster University and Mohawk College in Hamilton. I taught in the Autism and Behavioural Science program. I have been teaching for close to 5 years and I thoroughly enjoy my role as a professor. It gives me the opportunity to share my academic knowledge combined with real-life work experience with the students which brings the textbook to life and prepares them to enter the field of ABA.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my website. Feel free to browse around and drop me a line with a question or comment. I would love to hear from you.
