Transitioning into adulthood can feel overwhelming for families — especially when there are so many questions around school transitions, services, funding, independence, life skills, advocacy, and long-term support. In this workshop, we talk about what families can start thinking about as their child moves toward adulthood, and why transition planning does not begin at 18. It starts much earlier, in the everyday skills we build over time. We explore meaningful areas such as communication, independence, self-advocacy, daily living skills, emotional regulation, community participation, and helping your child build a voice in their own future. At Spokes Autism Services, we believe families should not have to navigate this journey alone. Our goal is to help parents feel more informed, more supported, and more confident as they begin planning for the next stage. Whether your child is approaching adulthood now or you are simply thinking ahead, this conversation is a great place to start.

Children and youth who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by a qualified professional are eligible for the program. Children receive services and supports until the age of 18.
